Business/Parental Signatures & Social Security Number are REQUIRED.

Allow 1-2 business days for processing & administrative approvals.

A separate permit is required for each business employing the student (i.e., Student can have 2 separate jobs @2 different businesses.)

Note: The school requires all students to have a GPA of 2.0 or above in order to qualify for the work permit for the semester. If the GPA is below 2.0 students will receive a probationary work permit that expires within a month to allow the students' grades to go up at the level that is required

Work Permit FAQ's

What is a Work Permit?

A Work Permit grants students permission to work while attending school. It is a document that contains the span of hours and work place restrictions that are unique to working minors. Work Permits are issued with the understanding that school is a minor's first and primary responsibility. Having a Work Permit is a privilege that can be revoked at any time if it is determined by the school that a student is failing to progress towards graduation due to poor academic performance or excessive absenteeism.

Do I Need a Work Permit Before I Get a Job?

No, students don’t need a Work Permit until they are hired somewhere or about to be hired. A Work Permit is a contract between the student, parent, and the specific place of employment. We cannot issue a permit without the employer information.

How Old do I Have to Be?

It depends on who hires you. Some places only hire ages 16 and up, some places are more open to hiring younger students. The only difference is the amount of hours you can work on a school day and the time span. See chart below for details.
